Nice Looking Stockmans Steve

Nice knives Steve.

New Queen Cattle King , and isn't that D2 just the hardest steel you are likely to find.

The start of a Stockman collection ?

John, those are awesome looking knives. A great Stockman start.

Thanks Ken I am really getting to like this pattern, there is a blade there for every use !

I have another Stockman in mind already .

nothing quite like D2 in my opinion! Stays sharp and lasts a long time....very desrving of stockman Hall of Fmes Status!

Nice knives, is D2  hard to sharpen ?

Well Ricky it's just harder all round so I guess it's harder to sharpen than 1095 , but then it's harder to make it blunt as well . Swings and roundabouts ?  good stuff though.

I don't think it is much different, although as  John said it may require a bit more effort. As an example if you use a stone freehand , you may need to make a few additional passes on each side. Well worth it in my opinion.
