Ken,

If the stamping of your knife features a rooster .. you could compare it with the pic I posted on your  Bertrand Cutlery discussion page. It may provide narrowing down a date of manufacture.
Glad to help,
D ale

Thanks Ken.  And, regarding the text reader.  Talkie works pretty well.  I tested it out for a friend.  However, depending on the device you use ... text reading may also be a part of your operating system.  I've only used Apple products since the 80s.  Text to speech is built into the system, so personally, have no need to install an extension/plug-in in a browser.

I think you saw it all Ken.  Only 3 lines...

I was wondering recently and hoping we would hear from you soon.I have had many friends with that and it is very frustrating, I am so so sorry.  Your typing was perfect !  It sure sounds like you have added some wonderful pieces and I know they have made their way to a good home

Ken,

Thanks for the welcome... I'm glad I found this site and am feeling a bit overwhelmed....

So, I'll lurk for a while and get oriented.

Thanks again for the warm welcome.

For Now,

Gib

Good evening Ken.  It was great to do business with you today at the show.  I wish I'd known it was YOU when we getting your purchase together.  The show was really a lot of fun and from the pictures and comments on here this evening, it looks like there were several iKnife people there.  I know we handed out several of Jan's cards for iKnife.  Hopefully some new people will join.

Hello again Ken, Do you know what a Kibbutz is? Anyway I work at fixing computers for the hundreds that we have in our community and business. We do have lots of agriculture, growing all field crops, and avocados, citrus, lichee, chilens, cows, meat and for milking.

We also own a large multinational plastics factory called Palram. We have factories in Israel, England and the U.S.A. I worked at ours for 20 years doing different things before leaving to start the computers dept. on the kibbutz.

Hello, I was born and raised in the Rockaway's (Queens N.Y.) near the beach. I left the when I was 28 years old to live on a farm(Kibbutz). I am Jewish by not religious. I have been here now for longer than I had lived in the U.S.A. My older son is now 32 years old. During these trying times we need as many people to keep their faith and understand that we (Israelis) only want Peace and Happiness for the whole world. Thank you for your support and Love!

Ken,

I read you posted a "like" for a Wenger Esquire 16640 serrated blade, titanium scales knife.  I wondered if you found other owners on the internet.  I lost mine and would like to replace/purchase another from someone.

Ken,

It is not unnormal for for Norwegian`s to have the same last name as the place they origin from. Like my great-grandfather had Rubingen as his last name which is the name of the farm/place I live now have.

Another fun fact about Troendlag is, both north and south was one of the more populated areas dating back to the viking age. So your Norwegian relatives may go back many years :)

I know where Fosnes is. I travel around Norway in my line of work, I have visited a small place near Frovarp called Overhalla. Its about 10km from there. It is very nice there. I do a good deal of jobs in the area. If you took the train from Sweden to Oslo you passed the small town where I live, a place called Raade. The world not that big :)
