Dang!...thats why I leave the hard work/labor for you young bucks...LOL. I'm to old to be roofing. Just getting up on the roofs and making measurements is enough for me. I was on some roofs this week with some pretty steep pitches...I'm thankful that I have Cougar paw boots...they are like suction cups when walking on roofs.
Yes, Sheila and I will be there all 3 days....this has been a busy week...I did some work for a friend of mine that is the roofing business....I was on about 16 different roofs that were 60 to 70 square each...I had to measure them out and put together a materials list..box vents, flashing, step flashing, drip edge, gutter edge, vent boots...ect. I'm wore out and very sore...I have blisters on both of my feet!
My pleasure...just don't know if I will turn it into a user...it's good size for most of my activities or keep it in my collection. I really liked that knife from the first day you posted a pic of it.....so thanks for selling it to me.
Check out my editorial on CutleryNewsJournal. It's linked to the community's homepage. While I don't use your name I talk about you and what you've done with your group and here at iKC. I'm making about point about how real our community is and that it is a "knife club." www.cutlerynewsjournal.com
Yeah... 2days!...I'm leaving tomorrow around 12:30 my time ...we will be setting up in the afternoon. I'm holding that "pink" knife for you so you can buy it for your wife!....LOL
Hello Jeff,
Thanks for the compliment on my grinder. I know Jeff from name only. We've never met but you can bet I would be visiting him too if we lived closer.
I've been making knives since late 80's. I have never tried to quit but I doubt that I could. It gets in the blood I think.
I like to make muzzle loading pistols too.
jeff,
you keep impressing me with your thoughts, like bone handle files. when you buy handle materail you have to use it all and sell it all that is a great way to make a little money on side. a set of files on your table with some of your knives. told you that 100.00 box of bone will make you 1000.00 back if you use it right. you are getting the knifemakers eye just becouse it is not a knife handle use it on file, screwdriver, small hammer, ect. people love that kind of stuff becouse you do not see it any were else and you can sell it lower price than a knife. keep up good work jeff
yeah, i know. I havnt been doing much online lately in forum participation. School is starting to pick up and I have been working as much as possible lately... Plus I bought Left 4 Dead (Computer game) and that has been occupying most of my free time. But Ill be back up and posting next week sometime. Thanks for the notice... And no actually, no new dusters. I am out of aluminum for 4 fingered sets, I am waiting for inspiration before I continue, but I have been thinking up some more 2 finger designs... It will be awhile before I make any more though. I need a drill press and band saw, that is kind of what I am waiting for. I just keep checking craigs list.
jeff, yes i got grinder and got it unpacked was like new. been working 10 hrs days at work not much time at home. like your new knife flows realy well and nose cap realy sets it off. just keeps geting better and better. keep up good work.
