really ,they just don't sale certain knives in Austraila..but can you order them straight from the U.S.A or have somebody send it straight to your house......
Haha no you have not offended me, sorry I haven't responded. I usually don't get on IKC very often. I have so many sites I visit already, plus I'm just a busy gal :)
Actually no. The Governator is in the Republican party, which is for the right to bear arms. But overall, California is generally of the Democratic party, which is pro gun control. I agree very much that guns should be controlled to some extent, but I also think that the 10 round rule is stupid and useless, as there is no magazine carry limit. So someone could carry as many rounds as they want, just in more magazines. Doesn't really do much if you ask me. California kind of acts on its own accord, many of our laws are very different from the rest of the states (I don't much like it). Although New York and one other state (can't remember) also have a 10 round limit. There are six states in total that limit it, some of them 10 rounds, some 15, some 20-30.
I have shot a variety of Glocks. 17, 26, 22, 27, and 37. They are nice to shoot, they feel very smooth, and the low profile slide mades for less recoil. But for me the XD is nicer for my hands. The larger handle on the Glock actually makes it harder for me to get a good, comfortable grip, making it harder to hold. And I have no doubts about whether or not my XD will take its torture. I have seen the vids, and yes the Glock torture tests are impressive, but impressive is no good to me if I cannot shoot it comfortably. Trust me, I would love to love Glocks, but the handle doesn't fit my hand. Its unfortunate, but theres nothing I can do about it.
And as far as the capacity... it makes no bit of difference. I live in California. 10 round magazine limit for us civilians. Sure I can get ahold of higher capacity mags (which I have) but I will never use them because I do not want to get caught.
In all reality, I actually prefer the feel of Sigs more than anything else, but they are heavy all-metal construction, and expensive. I think my next gun with be an FN. They have the feel of a Sig, with the polymer frame, low cost, and high capacity of glocks. Sounds like a great combination to me.
I've got an older portable scanner that I use to listen to PSB (Public Service Bands) , Police, Fire and Emergengy Services. Rail Scanning is listening in to the RR Train communications as they pass at the nearby town.
Glad to have you here at iKC, and again, Welcome Aboard.
Thanks for the comments. I love my rc-6, its great for wood processing for fire/shelter.
I'm a big fan of glock reputation and reliability. I was looking for a subcompact 9mm for around $600, so i shot the s&w m&p sc, glock 26, and springfield xd9 sc to compare, and the xd was most comfortable for me to shoot. The other two shot very nice, I just liked the handle on the xd best.
