You asked about the Yellow Smooth bone #72 lockback picture that I posted. I am told by Greg at TSA that this knife was likely a pre-production prototype for the Yellow Rose. I got the knife from Greg and he got it from Ken Daniels. That is why it has the bomb shield and why it does not have the Yellow Rose shield or blade etch. It has the standard Northfield blade etch. At first when I got it I thought that it might have been someones attempt at a custom job. I have been slow to warm up to the Yellow Rose series but I like them now. I used to like the Banana Peel Yellow bone handles but didn't like the Yellow Rose etch or shield. Now I like them and it's hard to find them of course. I got really lucky with this knife and the YR standard issue #72 that I got from Greg too. Thanks for all of your kind words on my knives sir. I have turned into a bit of a GEC fanatic! Take care, Tom
Unfortunately I don't have a dog anymore. I would really like one, and Huskys are my favourites. But both my husband and I are working and you can't leave a dog alone all day in a house as small as ours. Especially not a husky. :-)
Thanks for the comments on the "muskrat" & the "button Lock" folder. I have not found out how many Muskrats Case handled this way. The handle design & bolster etch caught my eye so I decided I needed to add it to my muskrat collection. The Button Lock Folder I did for my son-in-law in Georgia who is a fan of Georgia Tech Aand Itried to get the handles as close to the school colors that I could find. Thanks again.
Stephen I tried to post some pics but all that showed up were the attachments.I do have them in my photo album but you have to click on (all photos).Ill work on posting on the group site. Terry
