So. hello from Arizona--I come from Massachusets----
Hey JJ - well hunting season is over( 2 Does) and I am back in town. Thought I would drop a line to you and see how things are going. Thanks for all the cool and informative E-mails you have sent to me. I see you have bought a few more knives - looking good
Hi J.J.
Regarding paracord... Yes, I like the monkey fist quite a lot as well. They are useful and fun. One of my friends bought a boat last year. I recently presented him with a monkey fist for throwing line to dock. A lot of people don't realise that is what they are originally for.
I have been making a lot of them lately. Some people put nothing inside them. I always put something inside. For light duty, a wooden or plastic ball. For more heft, a ball bearing. Sometimes I make bigger ones with rope instead of para cord and a golf ball or a tennis ball core. Once I made one for a guy that wanted a large heavy one. So I put a slit in a tennis ball and filled it with BB's. That was a really HEAVY-DUTY monkey fist!
Hi J.J.,
I'd love to be sittin' on the porch along with you just watchin' the world and birds go by. Thanks for the welcome. Everyone's been great. Joining was one of the best things i've done lately. Phil
