Tobias Gibson said… Jay, got your message to the Rough Rider Group about the RR235, mini-trapper. Your complaint was a common one about some of the early Rough Riders. I've got the 3.25 inch RR419 Black Pearl Sleeveboard whittler and it also has nail breaker blades, especially the main blade. I don't have an answer for you. My whittler has been opened and closed a couple hundred time and the spring is still a s strong as can be. What I can tell you is that not every Rough Rider suffers from this problem. Toby
