GEC already made a Mellon tester. I have a couple of the #89s, but not the actual Tester knife.

Thanks for the insight. We have tossing up on whether or not to go with that handle material and your notes help. GREAT now there is another handle material for us to buy too!!

You did luck out!! Greg has gotten some very nice pieces from Ken lately. I have some oddities that I had gotten from Ken earlier on. What did the certificate say? Did it come with one? If not have you considered asking Chris to document it for your collection? Thanks for sharing it Tom

I bought the Mountaineers Are Free knives without a clue what the words were about, I just liked the etched blades, the gunstock pattern and the Battle Axe logo. Do you know what the phrase means?
