Hi Scott. Nope don't feel obligated, lie has been crazy like always. Been active in the "knife world" With a switch to what I collect. Now into Balisongs and autos. Glad to see continued groth here at iknife Collector..
Thanks for the comments on the pix I recently posted. They are a drop in the bucket as compared to your Toenails. You have the largest collection I have seen. I just posted a couple pix of some Outers pattern. One in particular is blade stamped "VALACUT". This is listed in my Goins book but with no supporting info. I suspect this is a retailer mark. Any info you or other associates may have is appreciated.
Greetings Scott. Thanks much for the Birthday wishes. I owe you folks a aplogy for my absence on this site. I will be checking in to update my account and touch bases with the folks here in the near future. Hope all have been well. . Fondly. Glenn
Great...Yes sir, I do OK, hunting and fishing. My purpose with the photos was not to brag but let people see who I am and what I do. Thanks I enjoy IKC.
I hope I didn't offend anyone with the dead animals? I thought that the photos were only to be on my page, not the main club page. Some seem to enjoy. Sorry, if I broke a rules.
Thanks Scott, just picked up a new bowie a Bear & Son damascus monster 15' overall, 9' blade, I'm pretty darn happy with it. The damascus blade is worth the price of the knife, craftsmanship is OK, but nothing to write home about, the sheath is total junk I'll have to have one made, plus the quillon has some small nicks, but it's brass and soft.
Scott do you know anybody who would be willing to do some cutom work on this knife? Here's a picture of it. It's basic, but very workable.
It'll take a little time to get used to the layout but no problems so far. I didn't even know about the site until somebody on Facebook mentioned it. I'm making a huge change from primarily swordsmith to knifemaker this year, so I'm trying to get as much of my knife work out on the web as possible. You wouldn't think the two markets are that different but its honestly like starting business up from scratch all over again. Rick
