I am a newbie and for now collect only barlows. For a long while I lurked at other large knife forums and learned the histories of most American manufacturers. I began collecting a few older barlows then bought a few Case knives. Later I bought some Queen made Shatt & Morgan, Robeson, and Cripple Creek barlows. Finally I bought a few GECs. All have natural material scales, all are American made, and none are Damascus nor are any Daddy barlows. Bruce

I went on a 700 pic 9 hour picture taking session the other day and realized I may have as many different whittlers as I have trappers. I guess it is good to do that once in a while. I really should get rid of some of my knives, but that I think, would be a hard thing to do. I really like what I have. Even some of the cheap, so called junk.
